A London slots player was robbed at gunpoint after winning big at an Ontario casino. But the good news is that London, ON authorities have made an arrest in connection with the case.
The London Free Press reports that the man won a slots jackpot last month. This player “met another man at the facility and went for a ride in his vehicle after cashing out his winnings.”
The other man pointed a handgun at the winner while they were riding and demanded the money. The gambler handed over the cash and was let go without being hurt.
Robber Evades Police for a Short While
The criminal who robbed the London slots player initially evaded authorities. However, they were just recently brought to justice.
Police searched a home in Platt, Ontario before arresting a 39-year-old in connection with the case.
Few details have been released on the case since the investigation is still ongoing. It’s unclear how the winner knew the perpetrator before being robbed.
The London Free Press report also doesn’t mention how much the player won. All that’s known is that the gambler won a large amount while playing slots.
