La La had strange timing on this win, considering that she’s also putting the finishing touches on her divorce from Carmelo.
According to Page Six, Melo was recently spotted yachting with a mystery girl. This incident is the last straw for La La, who’s now in the process of dissolving their marriage.
How did La La Anthony Win the Jackpot?
Anthony was in New Orleans at the Essence Festival to celebrate her birthday.
As mentioned before, La La Anthony plays slots. She was able to win a $68,000 jackpot in the process of doing so this time.
The 36-year-old told onlookers that she didn’t care about men anymore. She also fired up the crowd after her win.
Details are slim on what slot machine or bet size she was using during the windfall. What’s known, though, is that she’s now $68k richer.

Carmelo and La La got married in 2010 shortly after welcoming their son, Kyan.
The couple started having problems, though, in the mid-2010s. They split up in 2017 after La La filed for separation.
However, they reconciled in 2018 and hoped to make things work again. Just recently, though, Carmelo was spotted on a yacht with Sara Smiri.
He denied that the two had any sort of relationship beyond being friends. However, La La thought differently and has decided to end their partnership.
“She has trust issues and does not trust him fully,” a source said. They added that La La is in therapy now.
The celebrity’s representative also commented on the matter.
“As La La and Carmelo have been living apart for quite some time, La La is proceeding with legal discussions as the next step in their relationship,” said the rep. “They will remain loving and committed parents to their son.”
