A Broward County woman is celebrating after winning a slots jackpot worth $2.3 million. She was playing a penny slot machine called Hot Shot at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino when her windfall happened.
“She was speaking to family and friends. They didn’t believe her, so it almost made her doubt herself,” said LuAnn Fetcho, the Seminole Hard Rock vice president of marketing.
According to ABC News 10, the woman didn’t want to have her identity revealed. And this is common, given that newly minted millionaires don’t want distant relatives begging for money. However, there are some slight details on the lucky winner.
First off, Fetcho said that she’s a frequent player at the Seminole Hard Rock. And she mostly plays low stakes slot machines.
The slots jackpot winner also spoke about what she plans to do with the money, including buying an iPad and paying off her debts.

While the $2.3 million prize is definitely one of the biggest that Seminole Hard Rock has paid, it’s not the largest in the casino chain’s history.
Instead, this honor belongs to a player who won $3.6 million at the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa.
