Already known for having released some of the more-visually stunning slots in the industry, Betsoft has announced that they’ll be adding Rise of the Dragon to their portfolio later this year.
Rise of the Dragon is a ninja-themed slot that opens with a young female ninja and her father enjoying supper. However, their life is flipped upside down when a band of evil ninjas raid their dojo and kidnap the father. It’s now up to the girl ninja to battle through a host of enemies on her way to save her father.
One notable aspect of Rise of the Dragon is that, unlike most other slots, it doesn’t just have some vague theme as you spin the reels. Instead, this slot is totally unique in that you actually travel through different parts of Japan while batting enemies the entire way. So one scene might see you battling evil ninjas in your dojo, while another sees you fighting enemies on a path filled with cherry blossoms.
Based on the previews I’ve seen, the storyline in Rise of the Dragon could be more detailed and interactive than just about any slot ever created. Of course, we may not fully know what to expect until later this month, when Betsoft debuts their upcoming game at the G2E Asia conference.
