We’re less than one month into 2017 and we already have a multi-million dollar online slots winner.
Hailing from the UK, the player won an online slots jackpot worth £3.8 million ($4.7 million). The unnamed Brit was playing Loot’enKhamun through a smartphone at the time of the windfall.
Little is known about the person, beyond the fact that they’re male and from London. It’s common for many big slots winners to keep their identities anonymous after a life-changing payout. But they did offer some comments on their windfall.
“I am in complete shock at the moment,” he said. “I haven’t really thought about what to do with the money but most definitely I will be buying a house.”
As is usually the case, we had many different multi-millionaires created through online slots last year. The biggest of which was Marcus Goodwin, who won over $11.63 million playing Mega Moolah.
Unlike many players, including the anonymous Londoner we discussed above, Marcus was more than happy to reveal his identity.
“This is obviously life changing! I cannot believe it!,” exclaimed Goodwin. “I will definitely be buying a nice big house and a vacation cottage! And taking my entire family on a first class trip to Africa! This will mean great Christmas presents for everyone!”
Goodwin was actually the fourth player to win the Mega Moolah jackpot in 2016.
Just four months ago, in Sept. 2016, a female player named D.P. won €7.9 million while playing this slot. Another is Rawiri Pou, who hit a $7.2m jackpot. Interestingly enough, the New Zealand KFC worker said that he’d keep his fast-food job in the aftermath of the win.
It’s cool to see that we’re not even one month through the year yet, and somebody has already claimed a giant slots prize. It’ll be interesting to see how many other big winners we have in 2017.
