Smartphones have become the most-popular way to enjoy online slots these days. Unfortunately, too much smartphone slots may be contributing to an early death.
Of course, internet slots themselves aren’t the sole cause of smartphone-related health problems. But they add to a growing epidemic, where people spend far too much time with their phones.

People Are Wasting Too Much Time on Their Phones
New research finds that people are spending entirely too many hours on their phones. This wasted time is leading to a decrease in our sleep, attention span, creativity, productivity, memory, relationships, and self-esteem.
Worse yet, phones are causing our cortisol level to rise. Cortisol is the stress hormone that, in abundance, can lead to negative health consequences.
Previous studies have focused on the dopamine spike that smartphones cause. Dopamine is the “pleasure chemical” that rewards us for various habits and addictions.
David Greenfield, professor of clinical psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine discussed this matter.
“Your cortisol levels are elevated when your phone is in sight or nearby, or when you hear it or even think you hear it,” said Greenfield.
“It’s a stress response, and it feels unpleasant, and the body’s natural response is to want to check the phone to make the stress go away.”
How Does Too Much Smartphone Slots Weigh Into the Matter?
Smartphone slots alone aren’t causing your cortisol to increase. But they’re one of many activities that can cause you to spend more time on smartphones.
I’m obviously not saying that you have to quit playing smartphone slots. But you might consider playing them less and doing other phone-related activities less as well.
The overall goal is to stop spending so much time on your phones. Doing so will allow you to live a longer and healthier life.
